To God Be The Glory, Great Things He Hath Done
Singing godly music is just as much a part of worshipping God. Even if you think you cannot sing, sing anyway, it all sounds wonderful to God if done with a right heart. Do not worry about others making fun of your singing. Sing loud unto the Lord. If you can play an instrument, play hymns. The book of Psalms is the Holy Bible’s hymnal or song book. This was what the Jews sang.
I Chronicles 16:9 Sing unto him, sing psalms unto him, talk ye of all his wondrous works.
Psalm 95:2 Let us come before his presence with thanksgiving, and make a joyful noise unto him with psalms.
Psalm 96:1 O sing unto the LORD a new song: sing unto the LORD, all the earth.
Psalm 98:1 O sing unto the LORD a new song; for he hath done marvellous things: his right hand, and his holy arm, hath gotten him the victory.
Psalm 149:1 Praise ye the LORD. Sing unto the LORD a new song, and his praise in the congregation of saints.
Isaiah 42:10 Sing unto the LORD a new song, and his praise from the end of the earth, ye that go down to the sea, and all that is therein; the isles, and the inhabitants thereof.
Ephesians 5:19 Speaking to yourselves in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody in your heart to the Lord;
Colossians 3:16 Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom; teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord.
James 5:13 Is any among you afflicted? let him pray. Is any merry? let him sing psalms.
